Yes. I myself have felt like this after losing someone I was in love with. I didn’t lose him because he wasn’t interested, but because of something else. I think people feel this way because they probably aren’t ready to let go of who they consider “the one” and wish to keep their commitment even if they can’t be with the person anymore. When people say “I will love you forever” or other romantic things among those lines, some people are serious when they say it. Of course, a lot of people say the line you mentioned and end up falling for someone else later in life, but some do stick to their word. I kind of see it as a way of honoring the one you care about.
Is it necessary to get use to infidelity/cheating?
Look at history some cultures its the mandated to have many wives so is this evidence of how things in relationships suppose to be since ppl in huge statics cheat all the time anyway. Men have mistresses and women have uncounted lovers WTF!!!!! This is why I am afraid to date!!!!

I have seen us lose a Pastor to Alcohol another to infidelity. Another just got married and his spouse has breast cancer.Our other pastor has Hepititus. When does it end? I am a Christian but I have had my faith badly bruised and damaged. I see our flock lost and disillusioned. Where is God in all of this? What next?
Steven, I’m sorry that you are going through all this, but this is why our faith is not in man, but God alone. Man is fallen and subject to sin even pastors, and they are favourite targets of satan. That is why they need lots of prayer for protection, and a board or elders in the church to hold them accountable. God is there and waiting for the pastors and flock to call on Him and to sing worship songs and to also thank Him for the trials and tribulations that the church is going through. God uses trials and tribulations to draw us to Him and to grow us. Does your church believe in laying on of hands, and anointing for healing? If they don’t you need to be in prayer and fasting asking for protection from satan, and healing and forgiveness for the pastors. The church as a body needs to forgive their pastors and release any anger or bitterness towards them, and they need to pray for them and ask God to have mercy on them. Know that God did not cause any of this and He is grieving with you.
Father God I lift this church up to you for healing, forgiveness, and protection from satans attack. Father I pray that you would rise up a leader for this church that can get them through these difficult times, and lead them to healing and forgiveness. Father we know that trials and tribulation are how you grow us and draw us too You. Father we are thankful that You never give us more than we can handle and you always give us a way out. What should I get, if anything, for my wife on our wedding anniversary?
(17 years ago today (8-18-90), my wife and I got married, but before you answer the question up top, please read some pertinent additional information):
We have been seperated almost 6 months now (I guess legally seperated would be the correct term to use) & won’t be officially divorced until the judge says so (or issues the final divorce decree) in February, so technically are we still married, & do I need to get her a gift?
In addition to that, my wife’s infidelity is what led me to file for divorce. So, do I still get her a gift?
OK, last part is that I’m a single Dad of three boys (13, 10 & 7), do I get a gift for her or not?

No, don’t buy the ho a darned thing! Adulterous people shouldn’t expect anniversary gifts from the partner that they deceived and betrayed!
If you want to stay on good terms with her, take the boys to the store with you and have THEM pick a gift that you pay for but comes from them. My brother and I used to buy my Dad and Mom gifts for their anniversary until Dad passed away and we still get them for Mom.
Steer them to practical stuff: towels, a toaster, a new frying pan. A couple of DVD’s might be good, too, since the boys will get to watch them, too. No use wasting a “good” gift like perfume or jewlery on a slut even if she is the mother of your children. Let her boyfriend buy her perfume and jewelry.
I’m really sorry that she let you down. It’s really decent of you to even think of giving her something but, as you point out, you have your 3 boys and this is more about what’s best for them than what’s best for the skank.
