Has anyone ever stopped to consider that the word infidel might not be the right translation?
When you speak Of Infidelity you are speaking of someone who is unfaithful, this is the verb perhaps the infidel, that is so often used to hurl at muslims is speaking of a person who practices infidelity as in they are not faithful to Allah, Yahweh, jehovah…etc etc and not just a person of another religion as EACH religion has passages in EACH book that speak of killing the non believers. The Bible is big on stoning people and sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because they were not FAITHFUL ( they were infidels) to God…….
I do not wish to stone anyone…… ( not even Bush… and that takes restraint) I am just asking is it possible that the word Infidels in the arabic form of the qu’rran has another meaning.
Well then Chris why did you answer the question???
I do not quote from the Torah because I have not a Torah close by and therefore cannot accuratley state where and when.
There are a lot more of those “unusual” translations. GE points out a bunch of them… and does so in a fun story.
Do people really say “I can never love another man/woman again?”?
Long story short, I screwed up, big time.
And I’m just wondering if people actually sometimes think if a person doesn’t love them back “I can never love another person of the same gender again.”
Again, long story, and I screwed up.
No, this has nothing to do with infidelity.
It’s not me, I don’t need any advice. I’m extrapolating.
I think a guy likes me and might have taken the saying to heart and I like him too!
Yes. I myself have felt like this after losing someone I was in love with. I didn’t lose him because he wasn’t interested, but because of something else. I think people feel this way because they probably aren’t ready to let go of who they consider “the one” and wish to keep their commitment even if they can’t be with the person anymore. When people say “I will love you forever” or other romantic things among those lines, some people are serious when they say it. Of course, a lot of people say the line you mentioned and end up falling for someone else later in life, but some do stick to their word. I kind of see it as a way of honoring the one you care about.
Is it necessary to get use to infidelity/cheating?
Look at history some cultures its the mandated to have many wives so is this evidence of how things in relationships suppose to be since ppl in huge statics cheat all the time anyway. Men have mistresses and women have uncounted lovers WTF!!!!! This is why I am afraid to date!!!!
This goes for all types of ppl who date. What do you think?
Are women SO desperate for a man that they would actually agree to GET USED TO cheating??
Pathetic is an understatement!
Why are women SO desperate to hang onto a man, that they will accept being lied to, walked over, and turning a blind eye?
I am single because almost every guy has cheated on me, and now I have just stopped bothering. I want a nice guy but I don’t believe I’ll ever find one.
